When planning out your budget there are often large unexpected or unpredictable expenses. We know they will come one day. We just don’t know when.
To ensure we don’t go reaching for that credit card when it takes us surprise, I have compiled a list of expenses. Some are obvious and some are often overlooked when planning a budget due to their long term or ad hoc nature.
When we break the larger expenses down into monthly bite size portions and save it away, we are starting one of the first processes that lead to no longer living paycheque to paycheque. We are now prepared for our ‘true expenses’ and we won’t need to go into debt for them.
You can even go ahead and use the list as a worksheet to plan out your own monthly budget. Just remember, there is no such thing as a ‘normal month’ so you need to remain flexible. Adjust your categories as you go.
